I work from home or remotely using a laptop, and take on projects solo or through Shane & Peter, Inc. The plugins and themes I work on run best in LAMP server environments, use PHP, HTML, CSS, and jQuery on Javascript and are written in a development environment – TextMate, MAMP, Firebug, Subversion, Console – that is fun to use. Finished projects contain efficient, organized, tested, documented, and standards-based code.
Programming for the web is more exciting than pizza day at school, however, in order to maintain sanity working in what can be a demanding field, I ride bikes! Riding trails in the woods and commuting are my two biking disciplines, and these activities serve as the reset button to the computer that is my work life.
